British Ethical Fashion Designer: Ada Zanditon In the Spotlight

www.adazanditon.com
Ada Zanditon, a British, ethical fashion designer, challenges the common stereotypes when it comes to fashion and doing all things ethical.

For Ada, her label is about constructing a system that both allows her to achieve beautiful, luxurious clothing that make her customers look and feel good and one that also takes social and environmental responsibilities for its production and fabrication.

It's a real sigh of relief when we work with designers who stand up and challenge this highly profitable fashion industry, and sacrifice a bit of their profit margin to supporting social improvement and the environment.  Ultimately, someone somewhere is paying the price for our cheap throw-away fashion culture.  We're proud to support designers who are passionate about social and environmental improvements in the industry... because we are too!!

You can check out a whole load of ethical fabrics perfect for your responsible fashion and interior creations from our eco fabric shop here: http://bit.ly/bHeW9p

Don't forget the United Nations Climate Conference today!

The United Nations Climate Conference serves as a meeting for political parties all over the world to discuss climate change.  With this summer's extreme weather attributed to climate change (http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2012/jul/10/extreme-weather-manmade-climate-change), and in light of the disastrous floods we are seeing here in the UK this week, this year's conference particularly resonates with us.

Just small, daily lifestyle changes soon make for big results when it comes to climate change.  We're pleased to be able to help customers make these small changes, by offering ethical fabrics that improve both our environment and the lives of the people who make them.

We're looking forwards to hearing more from the event, and you can find out more here: http://unfccc.int/2860.php

The Royals Make A Stand for Ethical Fashion

Only last week Prince Charles was supporting the Campaign for Wool and it's now Princess Eugenie's time to shine.  The Duke of York's daughter was spotted adorned in ethical fashion label "Beulah", and claims herself to be a big fan: “They are such a great brand, and the fact that they are supporting Anti-Slavery Day is incredible, it’s a cause I truly believe in.”

It just goes to show that the origin of our clothes is important.  Nobody wants to support sweatshops, and labels who are passionate about providing fair wages and offering benefits to the people who create them are first choice to responsible folk like MPs and Royalty.  If the Royals can spare a little time to show support for a fairer and more ethical fashion industry, then we certainly can!
